Born from frustration, driven by purpose. We created BeAware because finding ethical brands shouldn't be an impossible task.
Like many conscious consumers, we found ourselves increasingly uncomfortable with where our money was going. We wanted to support brands that aligned with our values, but every time we tried to research alternatives, we hit the same wall.
We struggled to find ethical brands to replace the current brands we used. The information was scattered, incomplete, or simply didn't exist. Corporate ownership structures are deliberately complex, making it nearly impossible for ordinary consumers to trace where their money ultimately ends up.
Hours of research would reveal disturbing connections: beloved brands funding defence contractors, investment portfolios tied to surveillance companies, or parent corporations with stakes in industries that profit from conflict.
Today's world has shown us that many big brands fund unethical practises. What we discovered was deeply troubling: our money is being spent killing people rather than helping people.
Every purchase we make can inadvertently support:
Frustrated by this lack of transparency, we created this website to allow people to find brands who align with their moral compass.
BeAware was born from necessity. We realised that if we were struggling with this problem, millions of other conscious consumers were too. We decided to do the heavy lifting for everyone.
We investigate corporate structures and investment portfolios
Every brand undergoes thorough ethical screening
We curate brands that align with peaceful values
We believe that consumers have the right to know where their money goes and the power to choose brands that reflect their values.
Our mission is simple: to make ethical shopping accessible, transparent, and effortless. We want to live in a world where supporting peace and justice doesn't require hours of research or compromise on quality.
Together, we can redirect our collective spending power towards companies that build rather than destroy.
We believe in complete openness about our research methods, findings, and any commercial relationships we maintain.
We only recommend brands we would support ourselves and maintain strict ethical standards in all our partnerships.
We're building a movement of conscious consumers who believe their purchasing power can create positive change.
Every decision we make is guided by empathy for those affected by corporate actions around the world.
Every conscious purchase is a step towards a more ethical world. Together, we can ensure our money supports companies that align with our values of peace, justice, and human dignity.
