Our Story: Why BeAware Exists

Born from frustration, driven by purpose. We created BeAware because finding ethical brands shouldn't be an impossible task.

The Problem We Faced

Like many conscious consumers, we found ourselves increasingly uncomfortable with where our money was going. We wanted to support brands that aligned with our values, but every time we tried to research alternatives, we hit the same wall.

We struggled to find ethical brands to replace the current brands we used. The information was scattered, incomplete, or simply didn't exist. Corporate ownership structures are deliberately complex, making it nearly impossible for ordinary consumers to trace where their money ultimately ends up.

Hours of research would reveal disturbing connections: beloved brands funding defence contractors, investment portfolios tied to surveillance companies, or parent corporations with stakes in industries that profit from conflict.

The Uncomfortable Truth

Today's world has shown us that many big brands fund unethical practises. What we discovered was deeply troubling: our money is being spent killing people rather than helping people.
